Comic face-making app iMadeFace went from its unranked position on Feb. 6 to the No. 1 spot as of today on this week’s top free iPhone apps chart. App discovery service AppGratis had once again vaulted another app up the top free iOS app charts, pushing word game Word of the Rings to the No. 5 position on iPhone. The Walking Dead: Dead Yourself, an app that alters a user’s face to look like a zombie, landed at the No. 6 spot on iPhone.
The app of the week as deemed by the Apple App Store this week was space shooter Galaxy on Fire 2 HD, resulting in the game ranking No. 2 on the top free iPad apps chart and No. 14 on iPhone. Baby care game Baby Care & Dress Up from developer TabTale launched last week and already reached the top 25 on the iOS apps charts, ranking No. 3 on iPad and No. 16 on iPhone. Disney Where’s My Valentine?, a seasonal hybrid version of Where’s My Water? and Where’s My Perry?, landed at the No. 5 spot on iPad and No. 20 spot on iPhone.
Rovio’s Angry Birds made a return to the top 25 on this week’s top free Android apps chart, soaring to the No. 18 spot. Zynga’s Words With Friends Free also made it back into the top 25 at the No. 21 position for Android. Internet radio service iHeartRadio just made the top 25 on top free Android apps chart at the No. 25 spot.
