Samsung Galaxy Note Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean Update Still Rolling Out


Samsung has rolled out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware update for its International variant of Galaxy Note (GT-N7000). There is no news about the OTA released of the update and is currently available only via KIES.

The latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean upgrade is now available on the International Galaxy Note GT-N7000 in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Germany, Italy, Trinidad and Tobago and Netherlands, and Samsung has been rolling out the update in a few other regions too.

The Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is not yet available for a few of Galaxy Note variants like GT-N7000B and GT-N70005 (LTE). These variants of Note are still running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.



The update presently is working in several countries and the features coming with the update are not unknown anymore. The update brings many new features to Galaxy Note including:
  • Android 4.1.2 – Build JZO54K
  • Buttery Smooth Performance & Great Stability (Thanks to Project Butter)
  • Multi-View (Multi Windows Multitasking, same as in Note 2)
  • Multi-View can also be disabled
  • Page Buddy
  • Notification Panel can now be customized
  • New Additions in Notification Panel
  • Smart Rotation (Screen Display adjusts to your angle of sightings) • Continues Input in Samsung Keyboard (Like Swipe or Android 4.2 Keyboard)
  • Samsung’s Cloud services
  • Features like Direct Call, Smart Stay and Pop-up Play
  • New Widgets From the Galaxy S 3
  • 2 Home screen modes
  • New Notifications bar
  • Google Now
The Korean Smartphone King announced the update a long time ago to be rolled out in the month of February 2013. It is mid-March 2013 now, and many regions are still waiting for the update.
