HTC M7 Confirmed, To Be Launched Pre-MWC


HTC, the Taiwan-based smartphone maker is making all the right noises in the industry right now. After recently unveiling its Butterfly smartphone across the globe, the company is getting ready to launch its M7 smartphone.

Generally, HTC has used the Mobile World Congress (MWC) platform to launch new device but this time around, the firm could be about to hold a pre-MWC launch event in London, according to a Digitimes report.

The report also confirms HTC M7 specs. The smartphone will come with a 11.9-cm (4.7-inch) full HD display, making it the successor of HTC's popular One X. The device runs Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 2 GB RAM. The display is said to offer pixel density, more than that of an iPhone. The smartphone offers display density of 468 ppi and comes packed with optical lamination technology. 

   The smartphone sports a 13 MP rear camera and possible 2 MP front-facing camera. The device has an internal storage of 32 GB. The phone supports 4G (LTE), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, NFC and other connectivity features. The company has not shared details on the battery as of now, which will surely be available in fortnight's time. 

The device will make its way to the launch event, which is slated to happen on 18 February as per the report.
