Motorola’s Droid RAZR HD and Maxx HD Receive A Newer Version of Android




Article written by Carlo Raphael Diokno — Google’s Motorola Mobility launches new update for the Motorola Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX HD, but it’s not the newest version of Android just yet (Android 4.2.2).

As reported by Droid Life, Verizon Wireless rolled out the update for the Droid RAZR HD and Maxx HD on Thursday which includes Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system with Motorola’s thin custom skin running on top of the original user interface.

Apart from the new Android OS, the two Droids’ software update also features, bug fixes and minor enhancements. One of which is improvement of the camera application which offers better touch to focus, notification and low-light support.

Verizon’s document also confirms that the new software update for the Droid RAZR HD and MAXX HD features WiFi connectivity improvement, media sync stability and improvements to video streaming.
Users of the two flagship Verizon Motorola smartphones can manually initiate the download by visiting the settings app and clicking the “about” category.
