Nokia Lumia 928, iPhone5 And Stephen Elop

Article written by Carlo Raphael Diokno — Nokia’s chief Stephen Elop is back in the headlines after throwing an iPhone 5 while on live TV show in Finland, Nokia Corp’s bailiwick. After throwing the host’s iPhone, Elop promised that he will replace it with a Nokia device.
Apart from the iPhone-throwing incident, one of the highlights of the video is also the Nokia Lumia 928, the rumored 920 handset that will run on Verizon’s 4G Long Term Evolution network. As expected, Elop seemingly tried his best to avoid all the questions about the Lumia 928 because it is still an unannounced device.

According to rumors, the Nokia Lumia 928 is a variant of the original Lumia flagship handset, the Nokia Lumia 920 — however, it would feature a unibody aluminum construction that replaces the 920′s polycarbonate plastic body.

All Lumia devices of Nokia are running Microsoft’s mobile operating system, the Windows Phone platform. According to research firms, the Windows Phone 8 is still considered a “minority” in the smartphone space with a single-digit market share score. Google’s Android OS still leads the market, while Apple is still on track with double-digit market share score.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is available online with price tag of more than $600, while in the United States, AT&T is exclusively offering the device with 2-year contract. Source.
