Apple iPad 5 Release Date: Is it coming in October with iOS 7

Apple is all set to introduce many redesigned and new devices into the market. Apple is going to launch the next generation iPad Mini which will feature the Retina Display in March. It was also reported that the release of the 2nd generation iPad Mini will also set the road for launch of the iPad 5. However now it is being said that the iPad 5 cannot be released sooner than October 2013.

The source of this latest bit of news is a report by Horowitz from iLounge, which states that the new iPad 5 will be probably released in October instead of March as rumored earlier. Horowitz also said that he had the good fortune of personally observing an acutely fascinating model of a completely re-fabricated fifth generation iPad. The iPad has striking resemblance to the iPad Mini with nonexistent left and right bezels, beveled edges, and the possible use of the Sharp IGZO Display Technology. It could also feature smaller but faster chip components.

Horowitz has also provided details of the iPhone 5S which he claims to be exactly like the iPhone 5 albeit with some pruned up specs like a larger rear flash. Horowitz has also hinted that the iPhone 5S could have a plastic body adding fuel to the rumor that Apple is seriously considering introducing a more affordable version of the iPhone keeping in mind the Chinese market.

In the end Horowitz talked about the possibility of a new 4.8 inch screen device which is in its inception stage and will see a release in mid 2014. Seems like the iPhone 6 to me. Apple is seriously thinking about doing something about the burgeoning large screen smartphones much popularized by Samsung with its Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2. The 4.8 inch screen iPhone could be the first step in this direction.
