Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Render Versus Real Thing; Which is Better

A day before the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 was officially unveiled, Deepak Ahuja sent us a design of the device, in concept phase. Then came the real phablet and we didn’t get a chance to publish the design. Now we give you a comparison of the two: real device versus the render. Which one do you like? The first one is the mockup:

The Galaxy Mega 5.8 created by Deepak Ahuja is supposed to run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and use a 5.8 inch Super AMOLED HD+ display with Full HD resolution. There’s also a 1.8 GHz quad core CPU on board and a 13 megapixel camera at the back with LED flash. Upfront we have a 2.1 MP camera with BSI and CMOS, while the specs list also includes 16/32/64 GB of storage with 2 GB of RAM.
The handset weighs 141 grams and packs a 3500 mAh battery. Of course, the real device’s specs are inferior and I consider the real Galaxy Mega 5.8 to be inferior design-wise. While the concept here may look inspired by HTC One X a bit, its rounded shape and curved display are a welcome change from the typical Samsung slabs of plastic we’ve seen over the past year… And here’s the real device:
