Jennifer Aniston dishes details on ‘Friends' reunion rumors to Ellen DeGeneres, fails to scare talk show host in backstage prank

Jennifer Aniston makes an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday, April 18.

When it comes to the big screen Jennifer Aniston is one funny gal, but when the A-lister tried to prank Ellen DeGeneres backstage at "The Ellen Show," her attempt went awry.

In the episode airing Thursday, DeGeneres shares a clip with the audience of the 44-year-old actress jumping out of a door trying to startle DeGeneres and the host is very unfazed by her attempt.

“It was as if you were running from a spider,” the talk show host jokes. “Have you not ever scared anyone before? Don’t you like to scare? Don’t you hide when Justin comes home?”

“No, he does that to me,” Aniston reveals of her fiancé Justin Theroux. “He’s constantly hiding behind drapes. And I’m constantly scared. It’s like it doesn’t get old on me…”

“Haven’t you learned you hide behind drapes or something. It’s the element of surprise,” DeGeneres says offering her a piece of advice.

The daytime host goes on to ask the former “Friends” star about the rumors swirling that a reunion show with the entire original cast is in the works.

“I’m responsible for the entire “Friends” reunion that’s going to happen. Or is it?” DeGeneres asks as the whole studio audience begins to cheer.

“Well, you’re hearing it here first…as am I, “ the star, who played Rachel Green on the hit sitcom says. “Did Matthew Perry start that? Because he’s been getting some good airtime on this show. I’ve been watching.”

“Yes, and he’s coming back to co-host,” DeGeneres adds on Aniston’s former costar.

“Friends” creator Mara Hoffman denied the reunion rumors Tuesday night on the red carpet at the “Call Me Crazy” premiere to E! News, stating “I’m going to clear this up — it’s not happening!”

A rep for the network told the Daily News Wednesday that there is no truth to the rumors
.

According to reports it looks like the cast of NBC's "Friends" will not be there for us one last time for a reunion show. "It’s not happening!” says Mara Hoffman, the show's creator.
