Yahoo announced that Thompson, the CEO's resignation


Yahoo announced today that the company's current CEO, Scott Thompson has announced his resignation, Yahoo's board has been appointed director, Fred Amoroso, Chairman of the Board. Ross Levinsohn, head of global media, was appointed interim CEO, effective immediately.
 
The Yahoo CEOScott Thompson agreed to resign because of the Yahoo board had previously obtained evidence to refute the remarks  Thompson claimed innocence in the academic fraud.Yahoo's board to continue this investigation to determine whether there is reason to dismiss Thompson, which means that Thompson will lose millions of dollars in severance pay. 

As Yahoo, interim CEO of Ross Levinsohn, the assistance of Yahoo's existing executive team, managing the company's day-to-day operation.
